April 17-19 - Spring 3 Day Workshop. The guest
Artist/Instructor is Betty Brown of Wilmington, North Carolina. Please
visit her website to read more about her qualifications at her website. Format for the workshop will focus on watercolor painting with a
change in subject each day.

April 28 - "Spring Into Art” 2nd Annual Art Show Under the Oaks. Seaside Framing & Photography is
sponsoring the 2nd Annual Art Show and fund raiser for “Tara Hall
Home for Boys” on Saturday, April 28, 2018.
- GCWS rented a booth and participated in this art show/fund raiser in 2017 at the Litchfield Market Village in Pawleys Island. We will rent a booth again this year for members to sign up to sell their art/work during the one day event.
May 4th - Island Art Gallery "Magic of the Ordinary" show and sale. Opening Reception 5:00 - 7:00pm. Submission deadline April 26th. Fee $20 Additional information at islandartcoop@gmail.com.

June 6th - Brenda Lawson led a workshop on Beach Washes on the beach near Litchfield by the Sea.
Everyone had fun playing in the sun and sand and later enjoyed lunch at the Cabana Cafe.
September 5th - Monthly Meeting at The Lakes at Litchfield. Buffet breakfast at 9:30 am, meeting starts at 10:00am. Program: "Encaustics" by member artist, Midge Ovenshire
October 3rd - Monthly Meeting at The Lakes at Litchfield. Buffet breakfast at 9:30am, meeting starts at 10:00 am. Program: "Printing a Book of Your Artwork" by guest speaker, Nicholas Mariano
October 17th - One-Day Fall Workshop, "Painting on Yupo" by member artist, Paula Robertson. Cost $80.00, Location at Litchfield Country Club
November 7th - Monthly Meeting at The Lakes at Litchfield. Buffet breakfast at 9:30 am, meeting starts at 10:00 am. Program: "Italy Workshop with watercolor artist Fritz Kapraun" by member artists, Nancy Bracken & Patsy Givens.
December 3rd - Drop-off of artwork (10:30 am - 4:00 pm) for members entering the 2018 GCWS Annual Art Exhibit & Sale at The Rice Museum, Georgetown, SC
December 5th - Monthly Meeting and Ice Cream Social 11:00 am at The Abbey at Pawleys Island https://www.pawleysabbey.org

May 3rd, 2017 - May 4, 5, 6 - Visiting British Watercolor Artist, Graham Berry, teaches three day watercolor workshop; Brenda Lawson Art Studio
June 5th, 2017 - Visiting Artist, Fritz Kapraun will introduce us to his artwork and explain his upcoming October 2017 workshop with GCWS.

September 6th, 2017 - Meeting at The Lakes of Litchfield (includes a lovely buffet breakfast), Program presentation by artist, Midge Ovenshire http://paintingsbymidge.blogspot.com. She will discuss working in Mixed Media including encaustic and many other techniques.
